Senior student spotlight Marcos Cherres

Marcos Cherres has made a remarkable journey, a prominent figure in the FFA community who currently serves as the esteemed secretary of Parlier FFA. Marcos not only holds this pivotal role but also has aspirations for further advancement within the organization’s and its ranks.

In his role as secretary, Marcos assumes the crucial responsibilities of maintaining meticulous records, orchestrating meetings, and crafting comprehensive monthly summaries which is a major endeavor; Marcos does all this and triumphs.

Marcos’s initiation into the FFA can be traced back to his formative years at Parlier High School, much of his influence comes from his older sister’s ability to be successful in  raising a lamb. Despite unforeseen circumstances preventing his sister from pursuing this further, Marcos remained steadfast in his commitment to honoring her aspiration. Marcos was on the fast track and his trajectory toward assuming a leadership role commenced when the then-president, Anabelle, saw in him the potential for greatness and urged him to explore the possibility of becoming an officer. Encouraged by her belief in him, Marcos approached the Agriculture Instructor, Mr. Clawson, expressing his eagerness to assume such responsibilities.

Throughout our conversation, Marcos shared many experiences and insights into his journey, recounting both triumphs and obstacles. Whether offering guidance on projects or lending a supportive ear, Marcos is a shining light…a beacon of someone who values their community and exhibits Pride Honor Success.
