Football Game

On September 9, 2021 at 7:00pm. The Parlier Panthers had a football game against the Sierra Chieftains that took place at Parlier High School.

The Parlier Panthers have a really young team that improves everyday. “We played well for the first couple of series” said by the new Head Coach for the varsity football team (Coach Halstead).

Coach Halstead is running a new offense and a new defense. “I would call our offense a “Multiple Offense”. We have run-heavy formations, but can also get into spread formations. Our overall defense isn’t necessarily new, but we are asking guys to learn new techniques to shed blocks, read offensive lineman, and tackle.”

To start off, the Parlier Panthers had a rough first half leaving the score at 0-24. Bryan Moreno from the Parlier Panthers recorded a sack in the first quarter. The Sierra Chieftains had an overall of 3 touchdowns. 1 touchdown in the first quarter and 2 touchdowns in the second quarter.

Sadly, the second half did not happen due to a weather change
