PHS Staff Spotlight Ms. Acevedo

Welcome Back Panthers!

As we know the new school year 2022-2023 has officially begun. Meaning that we have new students/staff  joining us on our campus. This also means that many new students or staff are not quite yet aware of the teachers around campus, and for that I would like to introduce them to one of our Medical Pathway teachers, Ms.Acevedo. 

Acevedo has been a part of Parlier High School for over 8 years now. She teaches the CNA course for those who have followed the Medical Pathway, at Parlier High.  A fun fact about Acevedo is that “she originally was not inclined to teaching” as she stated, but after she became and worked as a LVN 

( licensed vocational nurse) she grew into the liking of teaching. Which is why she became a teacher in the Medical Pathway. One thing about her is that she loves to encourage her students by telling them to pursue a further education in the medical pathway, and use her courses as a  “ stepping stone” as she said.  When it comes to class time Acevedo’s qualities are that she uses a lot of humor, builds relationships with students, and likes to make the “ traditional learning not as traditional and more of a hands on experience “ – Acevedo. 

Something that Acevedo is looking forward to this school year is for her CNA’s to complete the course and successfully get their Certification.
