Powder Puff

On April 27, 2023 our school’s annual powderpuff game was played. On the evening of the big game powder puff game, four classes test their strength on the football field  seniors/ sophomores and freshman/ juniors played off well. The stadium was somewhat packed on one side, but other than that the crowd did not disappoint. The cheerleaders went off on their performance while cheering on the sidelines.

Both teams have great players who did not disappoint. All girls played a good game, some even say they played better than the boy’s football team or that their coaches helped them well. At the end of the day it was all for fun.

The seniors/sophomores team color was lavender and the juniors/freshman’s was a dark green. Both teams showed great sportsmanship and played great, but ultimately, team lavender lightning took the win. The MVPs of the game were QB Ana Herrera, Miah *, and Aliyah Garcia. And of course, the coaches were also to thank for their great coaching skills and the team for their unity.

The game overall was very enjoyable. The air was filled with chants for both of the teams which made the excitement of people  show. The final score of the game was  42-9 , making the Senior and Sophomore win this game. I totally would have recommend my fellow classmates to join the Powder Puff game, and to sign up next year if you can spare the time.
