Senior Sunrise

Wednesday September 7th, 2022 the annual Senior Sunrise for the class of 2023 was hosted; this event was made possible by the Senior Class ASB. The whole event revolved around the Senior class coming together for the start of their senior year, one of the most memorable, and exciting events for the Senior class.

My involvement in the event as a whole differed from everyone else’s. Being in the Senior class and ASB, myself along with my fellow class members had to plan, and put together this event. We all had to wake up very early in the morning around four am to go pick up the donuts, and drinks, taking a little detour, and getting Starbucks as well.

We didn’t arrive at the football field until around five thirty, by that time many seniors have gathered in great numbers. We quickly had to transport all of the donuts and Juices and distribute for everyone to enjoy.

After all the setup, I started going around asking people if they wanted pictures, I was surprised to see the outstanding turn out of Seniors, I wasn’t expecting for many of my classmates to wake up so early. Overall it was a fun, and memorable experience, the speech given by our Class President Sandra Filorio, and Vice President Nicole Bautista, was quite inspiring, and exciting, promising more memorable events for the upcoming school year.

By six twenty am the sun was finally coming up, everyone made their way down to the grass of the field to take pictures with one another. Overall the experience was fun, and great. I’m thankful that I was such a fundamental part, along with my fellow ASB members in putting it together.

This years Senior sunrise was a hit. Many students showed up to experience the first senior event of the year. The sunrise marked the beginning of our last chapter of high school and I got to experience the sun light up the sky alongside my fellow class of the 2023 graduates.

From what I could tell, every student that showed up enjoyed themselves and had a good time. A handful of students even took it a step further and created Senior inspired jeans. To put it simply, the Senior sunrise was a success! We Seniors are starting off our last year of high school the right way.
