Dual Enrollment Classes!

We would like to thank Mr.Garcia for his time. Mr. Garcia is one of the three instructors for the Dual Enrollment Classes, meaning that he teaches at Reedley College and in high school classes. 

“Dual enrollment is different than most other programs you guys have probably heard of,” said Mr. Garcia. Dual Enrollment is super beneficial, and unique and overall is a great opportunity for all high school students. This program is available to grades 9-12th as a career pathway. While being in one of these classes, you are enrolled in college at the same time! All the students have a college ID and a college email and could show up on campus and use all the student services that Reedley College provided.

Being in one of the Dual Enrollment classes means that you are also getting college credits as you complete the classes. By the time that students are done with this certificate program, they will have acquired a full college certificate. This is beneficial because most career paths require the IS-15 class to be completed in college. That means that all these students will have already completed this class and can get ahead.  Once completing the certificate, they actually get to walk with the Reedley College students at graduation. This has already been accomplished by a few PHS students. 

There are no requirements needed to join one of these classes. However, you will want to be doing good (meaning having above a C) in your other classes. If you are interested in joining the Dual Enrollment pathway, you can contact Mr.Esau or Dr. Rafael Iniguez and they will get you all set up to start.
