Trip to ABC news station

Friday on the twenty-third of February, students from both the Journalism class and the Digital Production class went to the ABC news station to look at how reporting and what the behind the scenes is like. The workers were very helpful and talkative, they shared a lot on how an everyday life looks like to them, and also how they make the news happen. We got to see them in person recording live for the newslater that day and also how they pre film for later shows. They showed us the green screen and how it works and we got to use it to test it out. All the workers from the editing crew to the ones who are actually on air did an amazing job explaining to us what exactly they do, and how they do it. They even explained how they get news, and how quickly they are able to get coverage and get a story covered. They made the time go by quickly and kept us entertained the entire time. Many of the teachers and instructors asked a lot of questions and were even more curious than the students. It was very entertaining and the place was so interesting to walk around and see how things really get done and just how much work all of these people do.
