Rigorberto, is currently a senior and has been a football player for a time now. Rigo mentions that he got into football, because he has always been hooked on to the sport. He mentions that he has been playing since fifth grade, and says that since then he has felt a “click” with the sport that has stayed with him.
Rigo also adds that football has taught him many things, which go from teaching him discipline, and team work. To teach him how to be part of a team and manage teamwork. Besides from getting lessons out of the sport, Rigo has also experienced fun moments, which included the pre games, and the rush performances he has been able to do with the team.
Entho there have been fun experiences, there have also been bad experiences which have taught him valuable lessons. One of the hardest moments that he faced was when he broke his arm at the start of the 2025 season, which put him out for a month and a half. Even though it was a hard moment, he was able to recover and even made an awesome come back.
Regardless of all the moments that Rigo has been through, he mentions that he has never thought of leaving the sport. He mentions that any time he has thoughts about leaving, he thinks on why is that he is there and the love he has for the sport. Additionally he mentions that if he could go back in time, he would choose to be in football no matter what.
He additionally says that the advice that he would give to someone who is interested in joining football, would be to be persistent, and don’t give up no matter what. He also adds that determination is one of the key things that would position you very well. He also would like to add that anyone who is in JV to just keep working hard and to show you best in order to succeed.
Even though Rigo has liked the sport and has gotten many things out of it, he mentions that this is something that he does not plan to pursue after High School. As he plans to focus on a business management degree, and on trying to get his Pilot License. Regardless of this, he mentions that he enjoyed the moment so much while playing in High School.
Overall as mentioned Rigo mentions that he has had an awesome journey through football. However, he mentions that there is something he regrets, which was not getting involved enough until later in the season. Rather the less, He has enjoyed this life opportunity like no other.
