Parlier VS Fowler Boys Varsity Soccer

The long awaited rivalry match of Parlier versus fowler had finally arrived and hopes were high for the parlier panthers as they were eager to play this match and hopefully protect their undefeated at home record. The whistle blew and the match began as our Parlier Panthers kicked off the match with the ball and right off the bat the match was very intense and back and forth with tensions being high between both teams. Not to long after the whistle was blown the Fowler Redcats took advantage of a mistake from the left side of the defense from the panthers and sent a beautiful cross to their left winger who put it away into the bottom left corner to make the match 1-0 after the first 15 minutes. Despite going down early in the game the panthers definitely did not let that bother them.This game was as passionate as it could’ve been as there was celebrations after every little challenge won.The Fowler boys would scream after every challenge and so would our panthers .

With 15 minutes left into the first half the panthers were on their heels most of the game and defending the prior 30 minutes the Panther started catching rhythm and were finally connecting passes and made about five shots back to back. As the fowler redcats started getting more tired the panthers scored the equalizer that was ultimately called offside.Although the ref had a long talk with his assistant ref and kept the call offside even though the call was controversial the panthers wouldn’t let that bring them down. After this there was five minutes played and the ref blew the final whistle as the first half came to a close with the Redcats leading 1-0.

The second half started and tensions were just as high as the first half and the energy was also there too not just from the players but from the fans. The Panthers had a good amount of fans In the stands but the Redcats filled up the bleachers. The game was very aggressive and past paced and both teams were getting heated. After 30 minutes went on in the second half about seven yellow cards were handed out In total. Reaching the 20th minute of the second half the Redcats were handed a penalty to make the score 2-0 but out goalkeeper Diego Espinoza made an amazing save to deny the second goal. Sadly reaching the 30th minute of the second half the Redcats found their second goal of the night. The panthers were devastated but were determined to keep going as they kept showing grit and determination to turn the tides. Sadly five minutes after the goal the Redcats were rewarded a corner kick were they put it away to make it 3-0. The final whistle blew and the panthers were devastated after they lost their rivalry match but sadly you can’t win them all. But we know you can’t count our panthers out as they’ll be back and they’ll be back stronger.
