- What position are you in for ASB?
Publicity Manager
2. What made you want to be the publicity manager?
I wanted to spread positivity around our community through social media.
3. What is your favorite thing about being in ASB?
I get to help out around the school and I get to be a part of what the school does.
4. Was there something or someone that inspired you to run for ASB?
Yes, Mr. Camargo. He is pretty much the reason I am in this position, more or less.
5. What are you planning on doing after high school?
Something that I plan on doing after high school is to become a nurse.
6. Do you have any other extracurricular activities other than ASB?
Yes, I enjoy playing Basketball.
7. Was being Publicity Manager your first choice? Or were you planning on running for something else?
It was my first choice, I feel like this position was a better use of my own skill set.
8. What is the most difficult thing as a Publicity Manager?
I think that is why I feel like I am best suited for this position, it feels very natural to me and not difficult.
9. How was it to run for ASB? How were you feeling about it? What was running through your head during the process?
I will admit, I was a bit nervous but I said to myself, “Whatever happens, happens.”
10. When you’re not being a manager, what are you doing? Hobbies, jobs, etc.?
I will be playing basketball, and when I can’t do that, I like watching movies.
11. What were you most excited for when you started as the Publicity Manager?
One of the many tools at my disposal was the Instagram account. This was most exciting for me since I will be able to spread any information, and be able to reach not only our community, but other communities as well.
12. How is it working with the other people in ASB?
I think it is great, it has been so fun working with other members of the ASB team.
Thank you to Ms. Bell for this interview and thank you to the former Leadership teacher, Mr. Camargo who sparked the motivation for Bell to join ASB last year. Even though Bell recalls being nervous when running for the position, she was dedicated and persevered. We should all take a page out of Bell’s book and take a chance, go out there and do the things that we are passionate about doing.
